As a parent, dressing your kids can be fun, but it can also be challenging. You want your kids to look stylish but also to be comfortable and feel confident in their clothes. A graphic tee is one versatile piece of clothing that can help you achieve this. Graphic tees come in various designs, colors, and sizes and can be styled in many different ways. Styling graphic tees for kids outfits is my literal dream job. Here are my favorite ways to style them:
1. Paired with their favorite jeans
This one is a no-brainer. This classic combination is perfect for a casual day out or a playdate with friends. For an extra trendy look, try rolling up the cuffs of the jeans and adding a pair of sneakers. An accessory I love adding to this look is a paisley bandana to complete the classic look (and also serves to soak up any drool, win-win!)
2. Sized up with kids bike shorts or leggings
This look is my go-to outfit for daycare. I know my daughter will be most the comfortable running around in a t-shirt and stretchy leggings, not to mention it also makes her teacher's life easier when changing diapers. To create this look, choose a graphic tee one or two sizes larger than your child's usual size. Then, add a pair of shorts or leggings in a complementary color or even go bold with patterns! I'm not gonna lie, this is my go-to outfit for myself as well.
3. Tucked in with a pair of shorts (or a skirt)
This look is perfect for those warmer months. I feel like I dress my daughter up like a tom-boy on most occasions so every now and then I like to switch it up and put her in a skirt. I like to tuck the tees in with the skirts but do as you please! Complete the Spring/Summer look with some strappy sandals.
4. Paired with a statement jacket
Some of my favorite items in my daughter's closet right now are her jackets. I love this multi-color pastel jacket that I bought from a store based out of Australia. I usually pair it with a graphic tee that has hints of pastel colors like The Bottles tee or Keep Earth Beautiful tee in pink. This look is perfect for cooler weather and adds style to any outfit. Finish the outfit with a pair of jeans or basic leggings.
5. Rocked with bell bottoms
This 70s-inspired look is back in style and guaranteed to turn heads. You can really add any graphic tee with bell bottoms but if you really want those retro vibes going, pick a tee like an old school rock band tee or even this 70s surfer look. If I had a dollar for every time my daughter got a compliment on her bell bottoms...
